Tears Apart

It is sad that we are
Drowning in our sorrow
While the world crumbles and
Rips itself apart.
Our sorrow mocks us
Causing tears to shed
While a lost boy aches
For his mother
How can these tears that we
Shed give us pity,
And agony of a mother
Not give?
How has shame gone to rot
Among the lying bodies
That are forgotten
Deep in the earth
That trembles and shakes
Like awakened nights
Without a loved one beside us.
The warmth of a touch
On the cold face
Of an infant in an everlasting dream.
While our dreams are forgotten
To chase the smiles
That were once stories being told
Around glowing eyes
Which have become but
Endless terror in an open prison.
As the whistleblower blows the news,
And the falterer hears the sound
On deafening ears it hums.

Point of View

Subliminal undertones of mass media and mass society has affected our essence of being human thus limiting our logic for justice. Critical thinking is perceived with criticism undermining individuality. We no longer view viewpoints as being black and white, but more so as my right and your wrong.

Losing Time

I do not know who I am nor will I ever know
Distanced from reality yet far from illusion
Nothing is in between
What can be left when morals are no longer valid
And truths are suppressed with falsehood
I do not know who I am nor will I ever know
A far outcry
Nothing is easily grasped
And nothing is far from reach
There is no in between
Faulty hands shake traitors
Strong hearts are taken
How can I be and nothing is to be
Images blind sound minds
Numbing every edge
Like a dormant giant
That cannot be awakened
Slumbering past injustice
While evil is eminent
I do not know who I am nor will I ever know
Tranquil thoughts surrounded
Pleasure soon confounded
Empty pathways toughen
Veered directions shattered
Nothing is forgotten
And nothing is remembered
Vivid memories weighted
Perception is outdated
I do not know who I am nor will I ever know
There is no hope
And there is no waiting
In a distanced time
I do not tread
I do not dream
I do not think
Freedom is not heard
And devotion is unkept
No battles fought
No lies to emerge
I do not know who I am nor will I ever know
Illusion is reality and reality is an illusion
It is set for the believer
And the wind takes its toll

Drowning Heart

You’re drowning your heart

It barely keeps afloat

Clinging by the scars it had been dealt

Those scars are not battle wounds, but subdued

By your own hands.

Gasping for breath, it desires to lunge past the broken promises

And shattered dreams.

(And only you can be in control)

Hopeless wonders tears its flesh,

Beckoning you to shield its weakness.

Lost passion, driven by lust

It is breaking away from its origin, plunging deeper into sorrow.

You have denied your heart its comfort and it will come

To destroy you.

Not abruptly, but slowly

It will drown you

Just like you have so advertently done to it!

Individualism: Thoughts

Helping others to help themselves gain self-awareness and self-growth allows me to be an individual. The craving, just like when someone devotes their time, the majority of it, to bring others what they need through film…that is individualism.

It’s all in the sense of the universe. We work and strive to obtain internal gratification, but we never realize that because of every step we make, every choice we make, that someone else’s choice is being affected. True individualism is an artificial idea that floats around without cause because our humanistic values in the purest form reflect a little human touch. And that one human touch is a simple realization that others exist. And if another exists in our mind, then it breaks and challenges individualism. We can be reflected as one, but without each other how can we exist? In order to be an individual, others need to know you exist, if you cease to exist in any one person’s life or mind, you can no longer be. (Survival is an exception and of course I think therefore I am is to be alive).

Love and Fear

We lose our essence when we fear

We die trying to defend our fear

Avoiding confrontation within ourselves

We lose hope and divert

Tears flowing in our minds

Suppressed notions in our eyes

Our look wanders through our love

Right toward the easy reach

Denying what we grew attached

To all along.

What we desired so strong

Cut loose, let go

Pushed past, no more.

Why do we try

Why do we lie

What do we gain

Tears flowing in our minds

Suppressed notions in our eyes

Do we feed our weakness within

Driven by selfish antics we pin

Overcome with sadness

Unfounded passion regress

Deep down inside we know

This isn’t the bearing to flow.

Why do we try

Why do we lie

What do we gain

Tears flowing in our minds

Suppressed notions in our eyes.

Being Human

When you look at someone, what do you see?

I see people, humans.

What do you really see?

I see humans, equality.

If you say that this is your land

And you know there will be an end

Then why do you keep on to extend,

Your thoughts are filled with shame

And if you see them, you will give them the blame.

You can never be a human if you were like this

I know that humans are free

And if they live, they live to be whatever that they can be

They will become more than you will ever see.

And beat you, and there will be an end to them

Just like there will be for you.

Except that you will always die many times

And that they will peacefully die once

That is, when their death comes.

You can never face them face-to face

The longer you live

The longer they will keep on trying to get rid of you.

For you are the one who came there filled with

Madness

Not like a human being.

And if I told you that I was one of them

What would you do?

Will you kill me like you killed them,

Or will you hate me, like you hated them.

If you were one of them, which you will never

Be

Then there would have never been of your kind

And life would be so free.

So they can be, so they can be.

What a Fool Am I

I have bound my own hands

Shattered my heart

With the very seed that rooted it.

Alive drawn in, pushed back

Used, while knowing

There is no end.

Subdued I become no longer me

While the other side veers the same path.

What does it take to unbind

The blind coward

But what a fool am I.

What a fool am I.

Core of Humanity

Inside every one of us

There is a person, a being

That can come out

To either destroy or be kind

We must understand why we were

Sent to live instead of die

And in the end, we must see that we will always be the same

If We Were Never Here

If there were never parents

Nor grandparents or families.

If our mothers never bore us.

If we never saw the light of day,

If we never saw the sun rise

The animals playing

The trees blowing in the breeze

If we never felt the windy breeze

The grass swaying against our feet

The birds soaring in the sky.

If we never smelled the

Scent of the flowers

The crisp air

If we never heard the laughter

The songs of birds

The cry of waterfalls

If we never tasted the spring of water

If we were never there to meet the seasons,

To see new born

To feel the rays of the sun

To see rain

To see snow falling on the branches of trees

To see the leaves picked up by the wind

If we were never here.

For we forgot about the beauty of life

The warmth of nature

And we turned our backs and never saw again.

We were here to see man hunt for sport,

And never look at what families they destroyed.

We were here to see hate

We were here to see murder

We were here to make revenge

We were here to fight the innocent and weak

We became greedy and cruel

We became selfish and heartless

We never aided others as long as we had more.

We forgot all these gifts that were there all along.

We forgot about who we really are

For that is why we say

If we were never here.

“Nature, all it does is sit there and watch, innocently, patiently, waiting until mankind falls.”
